    HOW TO APPLY FOR REGISTRATION OF DEATH CERTIFICATE IN TELANGANA
    Death certificate is an official document. Death certificate proves that a person is dead. Death certificate is registered under the Reiteration of Births and deaths Act, 1969. Death certificate is used in many ways. Relatives after the death of decreased person, has to register for the Death certificate. Any relative can apply for death certificate to the near concerned department. There may be different procedures for death certificate in different states.

    USES OF DEATH CERTIFICATE
    There are so many uses of death certificate are as follows:
    • In claiming benefits of life insurance.
    • In claiming benefits of pensions.
    • In case of settling estates.
    • In measuring life expectancy.
    • Monitoring factor causes of pre mature death.
    • In monitoring death infant.
    PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING REGISTRATION OF DEATH CERTIFICATE
    There are the procedures for applying registration of Death certificate are:

    First step: first you need to take an application form. For application form visit to the nearest department of MeeSeva centre or on the official website of the department which is below given:
    Second step: on this page we will see services provided my MeeSeva in Telangana are to be given. for downloading application form click on ‘MeeSeva services forms’ option or directly go to the below given link:
    Third step: next departments name are to be given such as: aadhaar ,aarogyasri, agriculture, CDMA, civil supplies, commissioner ate of industries , Department of Factories, GHMC etc. for downloading application form for Registration of Death certificate, click on the department of GHMC.

    Fourth step: on the option of GHMC department, applicant gets an application form. From there download the application form, and take a print out of form in the prescribed format in prescribed format.

    Fifth step: After taking print out of application form of death certificate, fill all the asked details in the application form. All the details to be filled in application form should be correct; because details and spelling you fill in application form will be given in your documents.

    Sixth step: after filling application form, visit to your nearest MeeSeva center of your region /area, and submit the application form with documents. They will ask you for some small fee charges. After depositing fee. Give your details like mobile number to the department for providing you information’s. They will give an acknowledge slip which is used at the time of receiving certificate of death.

    PROCESSING PERIOD
    The processing period of submission of application form of death certificate to issue of death certificate takes 15 minutes.

    FEE CHARGES
    The fee charges of service of death certificate of RS 45 for a single copy. From RS 45, RS 25 charged as service charge and Rs 20 charged as statutory charges.

    Additional charges for extra every extra copy is RS 25. From Rs 25, Rs 5 charged as additional charges as service charge and additional charges are RS 20 as statutory charges.
